May in Library Books
We skipped borrowing physical copies of library books this month but still took advantage of Hoopla for some digital borrows.
Kid Lit Picks
Unicorns Have Bad Manners by Rachel Halpern
Dadaji’s Paintbrush by Rashmi Sirdeshpande
Dumpling Day by Meera Sriram
Ojiichan’s Gift by Chieri Uegaki
The Phone Booth in Mr. Hirota’s Garden by Heather Smith
Book Uncle and Me by Uma Krishnaswami
Noodles, Please! by Cheryl Yau Chepusova
I chose books with Asian representation for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and I think these are some of my favorite picture book borrows so far this year. As someone who is close to her own grandmother, the intergenerational stories were so touching and heartwarming.
Audiobook Borrows
Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens
Lunar Love by Lauren Kung Jessen
Earth Unaware by Aaron Johnston and Orson Scott Card (My husband’s 1st audiobook!)
