While the rest of America seems to be skipping over Christmas, I am very much anticipating a delicious Thanksgiving meal next week. Last year we spent Thanksgiving with my younger sister in Knoxville, TN and my daughter said her favorite part was “spicy eggs” aka deviled eggs. We’ll be sure to include them in our spread this year!
Thanksgiving is by far my favorite holiday. I love the way sharing a warm meal as a family brings us all together with no expectations for gifts other than good company. One of my favorite Thanksgiving dinners was a meal we shared with another couple the year we got married. We were living on our own for the first time in Charleston and it was so special (and memorable) to come together and share our favorite dishes in the absence of family. In an effort to build this Substack community into a place where we can connect with each other and foster a sense of collective well-being, I thought it would be fun to share my ideal Thanksgiving menu. Gather around my virtual table and let’s dig in!

P.S. I found a great kid’s Thanksgiving song this morning… Thanks A Lot by Raffi. Check it out!
