Happy Sunday! I have a feeling September is going to fly by in the blink of an eye. We’re already halfway through and my calendar is full. There are very few days this month where I don’t have an extra activity penciled in on my schedule.
R - Reading
I finished listening to The Faculty Lounge by Jennifer Mathieu and then immediately another library audiobook hold came in. I’ll be starting Worst in Show by Anna E. Collins next.
It took me two months to finish rereading Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov but I finally did it! The truth is I haven’t wanted to read anything at all… including news articles and Substack newsletters. Reading is just too much for my brain right now.
This week’s read-aloud books were the Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Claudia and the Bad Joke (reread), and a few picture books.
E - Eating
This vegetable beef stew (minus the onions) with cornbread.
P - Playing
Not so much me playing but watching my husband play one of the old Harry Potter Quidditch video games.
O - Obsessing over
A Discovery of Witches on Netflix. I literally watched the entire first season on Sunday.
R - Recommending
Renee’s comprehensive roundup of Fall book lists. There’s a list for everyone.
T - Treating myself to
A post-checkup gas station treat/solo day date with my daughter.

I've got The Faculty Lounge on my MTBR (MAYBE it'll get to go on my TBR pile). How was it?
Gas station treats are one of life’s most simple pleasures!! 😀
