Masters Sunday is by far my favorite day of the tournament. There’s nothing quite like that afternoon nap while listening to the sounds of Augusta… the birdsong, the tink of the ball against the iron, and Jim Nantz’s soothing voice are the ultimate trifecta. I usually try to make my mom’s Greenjacket Salad recipe for dinner. Our own special tradition.
R - Reading
🎧Audio: Promise Me Sunshine by Cara Bastone, a buzzy Spring novel that explores friendship, grief, and the promise of second chances.
📱Kindle: The Love Haters by Katherine Center
📕Physical Copy: My library copy of Kills Well With Others by Deanna Raybourn was due on Saturday, so finishing the cozy mystery was my top priority this week. I especially enjoyed the plotting in this novel and the way Raybourn weaves the current murder mystery with flashbacks from the assassins’ past. I give this book a slight edge to Killers of a Certain Age and hope we get more from the series.
E - Eating
ham and potato casserole with fresh sauteed green beans
more leftover sandwiches from the Augusta National

Netflix’s new TV series, The Residence, a mystery/comedy/drama about Cordelia Cupp, an eccentric detective who arrives at the White House in order to solve a murder that happened during a state dinner. The storyline and cinematography are similar to Knives Out, Only Murders in the Building, and Death and Other Details.

Pops of red gingham for Spring!
This Longchamp handbag is nowhere near being in my budget, but a girl can dream! I’m going to try to recreate the look myself this season with affordable accessories to give my classic work wardrobe a pop of color and visual interest.
R - Recommending
’s Substack, The Second Act! The Second Act is packed with weekly recommendations, book reviews, parenting tips, and reflections on life as a businesswoman and single mom. The Second Act always feels warm and inviting, and I love Danielle’s lifestyle photography.
T - Treating myself
to time to engage in intentional mindfulness. I’m on Week 11 of a 12-week mindfulness program and to be honest, I’ve felt myself falling off the bandwagon the last few weeks. This week I made a promise to myself to really take the time I need to get the most out of my mindfulness exercises, even if it means carving out 20 minutes of uninterrupted time during my lunch break. I think most parents can agree that finding just a few minutes without being asked for something by your children can be a losing battle. The theme of this week is boundaries and my version of self-care this week looks like allowing myself the time I need to soak in the message.
Hope you had a great weekend!
