It was another busy week for my family. My son started 3K and my brother-in-law helped my husband move a huge media stand that he bought from an estate sale for $3! We had a lot of fun styling it but now we’re reshuffling our other shelves. I’m back with another quick weekly report.
R - Reading
I listened to The Wedding People on audio at the beginning of the week. I’m disappointed it wasn’t the buzzy 5-star read that it seemed to be for everyone else. Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood packed the heat but wasn’t my favorite of hers.
The Slowest Burn, a sweet upcoming romance by Sarah Chamberlain, was the perfect cozy, foodie romance for a dreary week. I read it in just a few days on my Kindle. Rachel Weiss’s Group Chat by Lauren Appelbaum is the most recent eARC I picked up. I read a few chapters before bed during the second half of the week. Shoutout to
for putting this Austen retelling on my radar.I feel like I’ve been putting off Lolita and the rest of my rereading challenge in general. I’m considering picking it up next year or getting rid of the 2024 deadline to take the pressure off it.
E - Eating
Spaghetti puttanesca from the Milk Street Instant Pot cookbook, tacos, Asian-inspired lettuce wraps with egg rolls, pesto ravioli with chicken, chicken shawarma pitas with roasted potatoes, and lots of leftovers!
P - Playing
Hello Kitty Island Adventure
O - Obsessing over Observing
How tempted I am to shop anytime I scroll on my phone.

Scheduling something in your calendar you can look forward to whether it’s a coffee date with a friend or a solo walk by the river. I always feel a positive shift in my mood when there’s something fun I can plan for.
