Happy Sunday! I finished up my last set of leadership classes this week, and I get to take a break in April before returning for our final presentation and graduation in May. I’ve enjoyed having some time to myself during these work trips. It has made a positive impact on my mental health to be working toward a goal outside of parenthood.
R - Reading
🎧Audio: Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins, a prequel to the Hunger Games series that shares Haymitch Abernathy’s history through the 2nd Quarter Quell. I bought the hard copy for our bookshelf collection and my husband finished it in two days! I finished the first part of the book before getting to the games and hitting pause until I get back to work this week.
📱Kindle: Swift and Saddled by Lyla Sage, the 2nd book in the Rebel Blue Ranch Series. After reading Lost and Lassoed last week, I wanted to go back and read Wes and Ava’s story. I keep going back and forth on whether or not I want to pre-order the next book, Wild and Wrangled, or wait for the library/an e-book sale.
I started my DRC of Katherine Center’s upcoming book The Love Haters while away for a work conference. I’m going to put it on pause while I read Kills Well With Others, the newest murder mystery with a fun cast of older ladies from Deanna Raybourn. My library hold came in and I’ve only got two weeks to get through it. The timing is perfect with my kids spring break.

R - Recommending
Visiting your library and finding a new service they offer to utilize. In the coming week, we plan to go to some of their Spring Break movie screenings. I love the variety of free offerings for kids.
T - Treating myself
to a haircut and a manicure. I took Friday off of work following a few days away at a conference and decided to make it a true “Personal Day”.

What a lovely library space!! 🤩 I love the idea of trying to explore all the wonderful offerings at the library. Ours does a puzzle race for kids during break and it’s very fun hehe.
How’s the audiobook narration of Sunrise?
