R - Reading
This week in audiobooks I finished One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig and Two Can Play by Ali Hazelwood, both borrowed from the library. Both were just okay but I’m glad I finally made time to read One Dark Window. I alternated between my Kindle and the audiobook. I think I’ll continue with book two on audio soon.
I checked out Frozen II: Forest of Shadows by Kamilla Benko from the Middle Grade section of our library a few weeks ago and finished it in time to return it this weekend. I enjoyed the story, the change of pace, and having a physical book in my hands for once! If you’re a fan of the Disney movie, I think this could be a great read-aloud for older kids.
With that, I’ve officially read 100 books this year. It’s never my goal to read that much and I’m still genuinely surprised by what I’m able to accomplish by listening to audiobooks during the week!

R - Recommending
Cutting open your toiletries to get the residual product out of the tube. I learned this hack from someone on Instagram and it is a game changer. It’s amazing how much you can still get out of a container you thought was empty. This week I cut open a mini tube of Cath Kidston hand cream I love and have it on my desk at work to use up before tossing it!
T - Treating myself to
Some new stationery and pens from JetPens. I am going to try out the NOLTY Ecri Weekly Planner as my daily journal in 2025. I know I’m one of many Bookstackers trying to get into a practice of documenting life offline again and after saying I’m going to do it for years, I’m prepared to commit! I also stopped by a local boutique on pay day to get a new makeup remover towel and a French hair pin!
