What an interesting week… I started off sick, sent kids back to school, went out of town for a work conference, drove home in winter weather, did a few chores, went to two birthday parties, and now we’re here! No time to slow down when you’re a mom. Today will be spent meal planning and preparing myself to do it all over again.
I’ve been devastated seeing coverage of the fire in California. I can’t imagine what these families are experiencing right now. I’ve been turning to celebrities who are sharing GoFundMe accounts to benefit families in need and encourage you to donate if you’re able.
R - Reading
I fell sick last Sunday and read Big Fan by Alexandra Romanoff. If you're a fanfic lover or were a fangirl in a previous life, I can’t recommend this novella enough. It’s a smart and sexy romance about a political strategist who ends up in a relationship with her childhood boy band crush.
On Audio 🎧: I finished Is She Really Going Out With Him? by Sophie Cousens and started A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston.
I’m reading Manacled by SenLinYu, a Dramione fanfic that will be traditionally published as a novel called Alchemised later this year. It’s dark so I’m taking my time with it.

The dusting of snow we got at home! I was traveling back from a conference (through sleet and freezing rain) to get home to see it. I missed the snowflakes falling but still had fun playing out in the ice with my kids! We live in SC so snow is a rare sight. It’s been 3 years since our last glimpse of winter weather.
R - Recommending
Less time scrolling.
T - Treating myself to
An $18 puffer coat for our cold snap this week. Is it high fashion? No. But it served a purpose!
