Even though I’ve been saying it’s summer for the past few weeks, happy official Summer! This week back at work after my family's beach vacation was tough. Summer in general is a busy season for me both personally and professionally. I live by my Google calendar even though I’m craving the flexibility that the longer nights should bring.

📕Physical Copy: On Thursday, I finished Total Dreamboat by Katelyn Doyle, a whirlwind romance set on a cruise ship that would be a great contender if you’re still looking for a beach read. It started strong, but I have some minor quibbles about the main conflict. I won the book in a giveaway, and it comes out this week on 6/24!
📱Kindle: Shade: The Promise of a Forgotten Natural Resource by Samuel Bloch, a non-fiction book about shade that is part science, history, urban design, and social justice commentary. This book stood out to me on NetGalley and is related to my professional interests. As someone passionate about not being hot, I’m fascinated by Bloch’s discourse so far.

We Were Liars on Prime Video! I listened to the audiobook of this YA Thriller earlier this Spring in anticipation of the show. So far the acting is great and the soundtrack is even better. It’s filmed in a way that’s similar to The Summer I Turned Pretty, which makes me even more excited for the last season to premiere in July.
