It’s been a strange week for me. I’m feeling a bit out of sorts. Emotional. Laughing one minute and crying the next. My brain needs some rest so I decided not to publish any newsletters this week. Maybe I’ll get over my imposter syndrome by next week.
R - Reading
The last two STEMinist novellas on my TBR list, Stuck with You and Under One Roof by Ali Hazelwood. Both were just OK.
It’s been a few months since I’ve read a paranormal romance so I picked up my eARC of How to Help a Hungry Werewolf by Charlotte Stein, which is described as “What We Do in the Shadows with the small-town feels of Gilmore Girls”. It’s so cozy! I love the dialogue between the two main characters so far.
I also started listening to The Four by Ellie Keel. It feels odd to pick up two fall-themed books (I tend to lump dark academia into a fall/winter reading category) when it’s still 90 degrees out but I’m welcoming the slower pace. Work is BUSY so I didn’t get very far into it. I hope to find a big chunk of time to listen soon to find my groove with the audiobook.
Our most recent read-aloud is Karen’s Worst Day from the Baby-Sitters Little Sister graphic novel series.
E - Eating
Too much cake!
P - Playing
A few new albums have captured my attention this week:
This is How Tomorrow Moves by beabadoobee
96 Months by Calvin Harris
F-1 Trillion by Post Malone
O - Obsessing over
How well my daughter’s Taylor Swift birthday party turned out. Party planning stresses me, so seeing it all come together on a budget was a huge relief.
R - Recommending
Perhaps not taking the Internet too seriously this week.
T - Treating myself to
A new laptop (a cheap HP with decent storage from one of the back-to-school sales) and two refurbished iPads for the kids. My son’s screen is so cracked that I’m finding shards of glass in random places. RIP to my paycheck.

I love this R.E.P.O.R.T style!
Can there really ever be too much cake?
