The Weekly R.E.P.O.R.T.
wk 50/52 - 2025
Welcome to The Weekly Report, a rundown of what I’m reading, eating, playing, obsessed with (or observing), recommending, and treating myself to during the week, curated by me (@overbookedmama), and delivered to your inbox Sunday mornings. Sometimes I include affiliate links to my Bookshop.org shelves. While The Weekly Report is currently a free perk of Overbooked Mama available to all subscribers, I genuinely appreciate all financial support, whether that be through a paid subscription or buying me a coffee to keep me fueled while I write. I’m so grateful you’re here!
Good morning!
This week was so incredibly busy. How do you balance attending all the holiday events, making sure both kids are dressed daily in the correct themed attire, work, regular chores, and doctor’s appointments, while still feeling like this season is fun and filled with magic?
I’m keeping this week’s report short and sweet. Read to the bottom to find out why my energy is fading.
R - Reading
📚Physical Copy: I’ll Be Home for Christmas by Jenny Bayliss
🎧: Audiobook: Daisy Haites: The Great Undoing (Magnolia Parks Book #4) by Jessa Hastings
📲 Kindle: Game Changers by Rachel Reid
E - Eating
Spaghetti
tacos
pizza (school spirit night)
shrimp scampi
wings and fries
P - Playing
House of Guinness
Heated Rivalry
Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man
O - Obsessing over
House of Guinness, the Magnolia Parks Universe, and Heated Rivalry. Basically, I’m pining for fictional men who give off “touch them, and you die” energy. I’m literally just a girl.
R - Recommending
I’ve seen the most lovely and thoughtful Substack newsletters cross my inbox this month and have not been able to give them the attention they deserve. Sharing a few below in case you find yourself with uninterrupted time.
T - Treating myself
A day off in the middle of the week. My son had a sleep study on Wednesday night, and my Apple watch let me know that I got a whopping 2 hours and 3 minutes of sleep on the sofa in his hospital room. (Everything is OK… waiting on some results for our ENT.) I planned ahead and took the day off so I could take a short nap after dropping him off at preschool. That was definitely the right move! I love doing school drop-off and pick-up. We were able to grab donuts together after his sleep study, and I treated both kids to gas station treats after school. I was able to do a little bit of reading and finish my crochet garland as well.
Hope you had a great week!
