I can’t believe we’re entering the 9th month of the year already. Every time I sit down to write the weekly report I think of that lyric from the Steve Miller Band song Fly Like an Eagle…
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future
It’s a Sunday and the 1st of the month which always feels incredibly satisfying.
R - Reading
I had every intention of finishing If I Stopped Haunting You by Colby Wilkins (Kindle DRC from NetGalley) at the beginning of this week but when my library hold for Lady Macbeth by Ava Reid came in, I had to jump on it first! Our library only lends digital books for 14 days.
E - Eating
Chick-fil-A’s Honey Pepper Pimento sandwich, roast beef sliders (subbed Provolone for Swiss and served horseradish on the side) with mac n cheese, orange chicken, ginger pork noodles, chicken parmesan casserole and salads. I’m still experimenting with getting my kids to eat outside their comfort zone. I’d love for them to eat what they’re served! Buying a rotisserie chicken has become one of my favorite meal shortcuts lately. It’s cheaper than packaged chicken breasts and cuts down on meal prep time.
P - Playing
Sabrina Carpenter’s album Short n Sweet. It’s hard to choose a favorite song but Good Graces was an early standout from my first few listens.
O - Obsessing over
Rings of Power Season 2 on Amazon Prime and Emily in Paris Season 4 on Netflix. I said I wouldn’t jump in until all the episodes were released but I have no self-control.
R - Recommending
T - Treating myself to
A better night’s rest with the help of magnesium glycinate.
