Hello! I always struggle with short weeks at work when we have a holiday that falls on a Monday. I can’t seem to get back into a routine and my days always feel off. Does anyone else have the same problem? I was more excited than usual for the weekend, especially because it meant spending some time with my sisters.
R - Reading
🎧Audio: I finished Quicksilver by Callie Heart, a fated-mates romantasy that’s been making its rounds in the book sphere and OMG I LOVED THE ENDING. I’m so glad I had a buddy read group chat to discuss it. I’ll be gushing over Fisher for a while.
I’m trying to be better about reading advanced listening copies of audiobooks close to their publication date. I started Undone by Peyton Corinne but decided to DNF it around the 37% mark. It leaned a little too young adult for me and I couldn’t get past the immaturity and drama.
I also indulged in Priest and Midnight Mass by Sierra Simone, a very NSFW dark romance series about a priest who breaks his vow of celibacy on the altar of his church. I don’t think I need to say any more for you to decide if that’s for you or not.
📱Kindle: Some Like it Scot by Pepper Basham, an upcoming slow-burn romance about a travel writer who gets an assignment in Scotland.
📙Physical Copy: The Antidote: Happiness for People Who Can't Stand Positive Thinking by Oliver Burkeman, a book that has challenged my idea of positive thinking and made me SLOW DOWN and pick up a highlighter to annotate.
E - Eating
fun flavors of gnocchi purchased at World Market
beef tamales from Sprouts and corn and rice casserole
carry-out Pizza for a school fundraiser
lunch with a former co-worker that doubled as a Girl Scout cookie delivery
P - Playing
Short n’ Sweet (Deluxe) by Sabrina Carpenter
So Close to What by Tate McRae
Apple Music Live: Camila Cabello
What can I say? I’m in my girly pop era.

This Little Words Project x Sad Girls Club collab.
R - Recommending
🎥 Skipping the book to film adaptation of This Time Next Year. I’m honestly so disappointed I waited a year for it to stream in the U.S. Lucien Laviscount is easy on the eyes but it wasn’t enough to redeem the script. Pick up Sophie Cousens’ book and read it for yourself instead!
I added a few of these to my must-watch rom-com list:
T - Treating myself
In small ways like reading a book, listening to a song that lifts my mood, doing my full morning and evening skincare routine, laughing at TikToks, meditating, ignoring my phone, and eating a full breakfast.

I love Sierra Simone!!
I was really surprised the way the This Time Next Year adaptation wasn't on my radar. I wondered if maybe it wasn't very good and they were saving themselves the ad revenue 😬 I really hate when book adaptations turn out badly.
