We’re back home from the beach and I’m prepping breakfast burritos for Father’s Day as you read this. I don’t think I’m ready to get back to the office tomorrow.
R - Reading
My kids are still young so they require constant watching around water. While it’ll still be a few years before I can read a ton on vacation, I’m still pleased with what I was able to accomplish. I finished Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer and put a big dent in Daisy Haïtes by Jessa Hastings on audiobook. I’ve had a hold on the audiobook through the Libby app since February and it finally came in!
E - Eating
Lots of meals for a crowd— pizza, spaghetti, nachos, BBQ, and bow tie pasta with rotisserie chicken and salad. We had a couple of seafood meals out too— a must for any trip to the beach.
P - Playing
In the sun! We also went to my husband’s favorite mini golf spot on our trip and I won our group! Pure luck (with a little strategy) and no skill.
O - Obsessing over Observing
Kids are naturals at making friends! It’s been a delight to see my kids play with their cousins and some family friends during this past week at the beach.
R - Recommending
Preordering books! I came home to my copy of Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood and it was like a little treat.
T - Treating myself to
A couple of new work bags from the Vera Bradley outlet. The pockets on this bag will be perfect for my water bottle.
