Sounds like a great list and I love the idea of tailoring it to our sweet KG starters. Please let us know which ones were your favorite and why! Also, a gentle reminder, if I may, try to have minimal expectations that first day for the kiddo. I remember my (now 8 year old) jumping into the car and I was so excited to ask him about his first day. He was totally bummed (it was in the midst of COVID) and exclaimed “IT WAS ALL RULES. That’s IT!” I have since reminded myself over and over to just be there as a safe space for them to relay their experiences, whatever they may be ❤️.
This is such a great list-- going to look for the pirate one immediately. I thrifted the king of kindergarten forever ago and I can't believe it's actually time to pull it out!
Saving this one for our next library trip!!! They all look so positive. I understand the importance of ones where the kid is scared, but I wish there was more that focused on the fun and there are a few here that I want to check out!!
This is a spectacular list! 🤩

That’s a great point! Plus kids want to read more about play and games at school. It’s not all boring.
