Mouse on the River looks delightful! And you’ll be proud. My basil is (still) alive. It’s been a week. I feel like throwing a party.

Amazing!!! Might I suggest a fun appetizer with basil to celebrate? I love burrata with basil and lemon zest! Something is eating mine outside so I keep pinching off the leave to hope it will regrow.

Ohhh I love burrata! I think that’s going to be on the menu for Mother’s Day. Great idea! I’ve kept mine indoor because outdoors has not proven successful historically for me 😬

The inspiration is so beautiful, Kuleigh! And temps already in the mid-80s?! I can't even fathom this time of year...

It hit 90 degrees the past two days and now we're having storms! At least everything looks GREEN.

We are trying to create a bit of separation from our outdoor dining area and the rest of the garden, with some big pots and some ferns, potted bamboo and fascia. I was reading that everyone tries to keep the garden open, planting around the side, but a garden where you can’t see everything at once feels bigger? So that’s my new inspo. I got a “garden rooms” book from the library for inspiration.

I love that idea! I'll have to check out that book. We live in a midmod Ranch and I'm toying around with adding some low breeze block walls.

I am so jealous. I've been a city dwelling creature and have never had a garden in my life. I have lived on the 9th, 8th, 12th floor, and now relatively close to the ground on the 3rd floor. I hope in 2 years from now I will finally be able to buy a house somewhere out in the sticks and have at least a small garden at last!

Do you have a balcony or even a sunny window? Container gardening is great.

A hammock really is the dream! We went on a trip to Ibiza a couple of years ago and I explained to the group of people we were on retreat with that I am 52% extrovert and 48% introvert. This means I can do social situations and give them 100% but I my social battery then needs serious time to recharge. They all understood and wouldn't bother me when I'd retire to the villa hammock for a few hours of reading or quiet thinking. They took to calling it my "Personal Hammock Time" and it's really stuck even though I don't have a hammock anymore. xx

That sounds so nice! We do keep our ENO hammock out year round but I’d love to clean up the area a bit. My daughter loves to go chill in it with her iPad at dusk!
