Ooh yes! I remember when you launched this and I’m excited to see how well it’s going for you! I’ve reread On Writing by Stephen King and Before and After the Book Deal by Courtney Maum so far. I intend to reread two of Jhumpa Lahiri’s novels as well. 🤍

I haven’t read any of those books! I love that you’re rereading some favorites this summer!

This is a really great idea! I might steal this for next year. It’s something my daughter and I can do together.

I've been reading The Babysitters Club with my daughter and I highly recommend reading some of your favorite books aloud!

Thank you, Michelle! It’s something I think I will continue but maybe with less structure. I see a lot of value in rereading books now that I’m in the habit.

I love your updates on your re-read project. I’m already nervous and wincing when you share what the reading experience was like rereading Night 🥹

I am so curious to see your thoughts on The Catcher in the Rye upon rereading it! As for feeling anxious about the project ~ I say just make it a multi-year project and read the remaining titles when you're in the mood for them ♡ If you try to push yourself you will surely not enjoy the experience as much! Have fun with it!

I like your idea of making it a multi-year project. I'm the boss of my own project and can do what I want, right?!

This is such a fun project! I was recently thinking about how excited I am to read certain childhood books to my children when they are older, but for some reason it didn't dawn on me to read them now on my own. Thanks for the inspiration!

Oof. I read Night on a plane - DNR, me ugly sobbing near strangers trapped in a box in the air. This also happened with me reading Bridge to Terabithia on a plane so I don't learn from my mistakes. I'd skip the Salinger, I remember HATING that guy Holden so much when I read the book as a teen but, who knows, maybe it would strike different in my old age! Nabakov is always worth the read (or reread IMO) even if his content can be a little...creep sometimes. Can't wait to see what your take is!
