Loved this -- inflation is bonkers!! I’m so excited that The Flatshare is good! She’s such a unique writer that I’m never sure how her stuff will translate to tv. Excited to watch!

This post hit so many notes that resonated with me from the budgeting to the meal planning to the book/movie recommendations! I did binge the Flatshare but I actually do prefer the book to the show; however, the casting was EXCELLENT!

One tip for stretching a dollar is using cash back sites for any online shopping like Rakuten. It feels good to get a little bit of money back on stuff I’d have bought anyway!

Thank you for the reminder about Rakuten! I only remember to use it around the holidays.

I love your edits & you are valued, thank you for being here on Substack! Love the additions to spice up your office. I think I may need to try The Flatshare. I agree, it’s been such a great year for book-to-screen adaptations, I hope it never stops

And yes, agreeing with everyone on inflation. I find the bulk grocery stores very helpful - sometimes a whole bunch costs about the same as 1 or 2 in retail. There are also some cases where it’s yummier, like we started buying these giant onions 🧅 from Sam’s Club and they’re so much better than the ones we find at Walmart, for example, and cheaper!
