Oh my goodness, Kuleigh, this list is SO good! My daughter and I just went to see Inside Out 2 and we absolutely LOVED IT. She is almost 13 and it was just the absolute perfect message about puberty and anxiety for that age. And honestly, the anxiety message hit so hard for me too as a full grown adult! I think little kids will enjoy this one, but won't really get the full message, and that its sweet spot is like 4th grade and up. All the way to us full grown adults!
We actually ended up seeing it over the weekend as well. My 3 year old took a nap. My 5 year old daughter enjoyed it but I don’t think she took much away from it. I need to find a way to talk to her about anxiety and I think the movie gives me something to relate back to now! I’m so glad you two enjoyed the movie. Your daughter was definitely the target audience. I’m honestly so surprised I didn’t cry!
Yes, the movie will DEFINITELY give you a way to talk to her about it over the years! I experience anxiety as a part of my daily life, sometimes worse than others, and honestly I feel that visualizing some of the scenes will really help me put my whirling brain at rest with a dose of perspective that the movie perfectly depicts. For sure keep this in your mama toolbox ♡
Thanks Brooke! We were just in Myrtle Beach and missed you at Barnes and Noble by two day but I did see your sweet book setup right in the front door! Amazing! Hope you’re having a wonderful summer book tour!
What a great list!! I was gifted a Bogg Bag a few summers ago and love using it for the beach but didn't realize you could get accessories for it until the end of last summer, so your recs are timely because I cannot wait to customize mine!
I've been seeing the Bogg Bags EVERYWHERE. Your glowing review just might be the final thing to make me go get one. They seem so great for summer! I love all the accessories you recommend and the Rigwa bowl seems amazing.
All of the little add-ons for the Bogg bags look so handy! We've gifted the dock & bay towels before, but definitely need some of our own, I love how little space they take up. I just started This Summer Will Be Different, but already feel like I'm going to love it. We had such a a Luca phase back when it first came out, but haven't watched it since then for some reason.
We just got A Day for Sandcastles from the library this afternoon and it was such a fun one for us one week after our first family beach trip. We built several sandcastles, so my 3 year old was able to verbalize what was happening with the various obstacles to completing their sandcastles in this lovely wordless book. Thank you for the recommendation—I’ve been excited to pull this off my “saved for later” list on the library!

WHOA. You have outdone yourself. Every single item is gold here. Thank you for basically planning my summer! 😂
I’m so glad this was helpful to you!

I feel like the accessories are getting a little creative but they’re fun to help your bag stand out since so many people have them now.

We use the rigwa all the time for picnics at the park. It’s versatile. Even if you buy a different brand, I recommend a big waterproof tote!
You newsletter will keep me clicking the links for several weeks! Thanks so much. :)
There are so many! Oops! I’m glad you found it helpful.
These ideas are great! I’m trying to plan out our weeks better and this is helping me with a bit more structure.
I love a good bit of structure and routine. I’m thrilled you got some ideas from this newsletter!
Also I’d never seen a bogg bag before. Love it, it’s like a croc for your stuff.
Exactly! Especially with the little jibbit charms. I think that’s why I like them so much.
I love this so much! You have me excited for summer like it's fall 🤣🤣🤣
And the Lizzie McGuire movie?!! 🥹 Yassss!!! 👏🏾 Let me go and start planning summer for me and the kids 😂
