Wow I am so impressed! 8 books already?! That’s incredible. I’ve been eagerly waiting to read your thoughts on Bridge to Terabithia and now I feel like I need to pick it up again too! Thank you for sharing the other reads. I agree, cozy fantasy just doesn’t do it for me either.

I was surprised at what I fit in this month but we spent most of our weekends at home, which helped. Bridge to Terabithia is just so, so heavy. Make sure you're in the right headspace for the tears.

Such a good month, Kuleigh! I love the review format you're using. I just put a hold on Ninth House from the library, so maybe I'll get to it in February ◡̈

It's really dark but I loved the magic and secret societies. It checked a lot of boxes for me! I hope you like it too.

Thanks so much, Bethany! Have you not read it before? Make sure to have a box of tissues beside you toward the end.

I'm very envious that you have read 8 books in January, amazing! I wouldn't normally choose a book like Ninth House but honestly your description of it has me so intrigued!! I might just have to add it to my list.

Bookshops & Bonedust has been on my TBR since last year, and based on your assessment it has been bumped down (again).

Now that I've read it I think people either love it or hate it. I don't think cozy fantasy is for me. I like a lot more action. Nothing about it felt high stakes. The conflict bored me.
