I really enjoyed This One Summer, I need to pick up another YA graphic novel this summer, it just feels so nostalgic and satisfying. And oooo I didn’t know about that Forest Feast, I’ve had the first one for 100 years and do enjoy the simplicity of it. Gisele’s new book Nourished has a similar “simplicity” vibe to it.
Other than Archie comics, I didn’t read graphic novels in my childhood so I’m enjoying trying something new, especially since my daughter loves reading them. All of the Forest Feast books are great! We also have the OG and the Kids version! I’ll check out Nourished.
OMG.... Totally flattered that you mentioned my post and I am so glad you found it helpful. It's crazy how often we need reminders that we are actually the grown-ups in charge and we can do whatever we want, including not finishing the books we don't like. LOL
I have the same pet-peeve about much of the popular non-fiction out there these days. I read one in-depth review, listen to two podcast episodes with the author and then when I finally pick up the book, I feel like I've already read it....
I’m obsessed with your visuals and how you use your storygraph stats😍 I’ve been so excited to read When Among Crows but it hasn’t been the right time (vibe wise)
When Among Crows was my favorite book in July! I couldn’t believe how much she fit into a novella, and the characters were all developed in a short time.
Ashley Poston has been on my tbr forever, I really need to get to her books.
Immediately putting holds on Seven Year Slip and Enemies to Lovers. Always love reading your recommendations!
They might end up being two of my favorite romances of the year!
Enemies to Lovers is a must by the end of summer! It comes out this month.
I loved Sabrina, both the 90s show and the more recent dark Netflix one :D
I loved The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. I wish there were going to be more seasons. I’m due for a rewatch.
I hope I can get to the Seven Year Slip soon, so glad you liked it and 😔 about Just for the Summer, but I agree it’s not as lighthearted as expected!

I loved Seven Year Slip, too! It's such a good one!
Ashley Poston has such an inventive way of exploring romance through time! I’m eager to pick up her most recent book now.

It would be great to save for fall. Definitely a dark/gritty setting.
Seven Year Slip was so good! I’m sad you didn’t love Just For the Summer but I get expectations being off for it.
It could’ve just been the format or timing for me. I’d still like to read some of her other books.
I’ve read them all but definitely recommend starting at the beginning with The Friend Zone.

It was perfection! Those same things in When Among Crows captured my attention too.
All of those cookbooks look beautiful! I'm excited to read The Seven Year Slip hopefully before the end of the year. I really enjoyed her last book.
Same here. I enjoy reading magical realism and I think her writing is heartfelt. Hope you make the time for it!
Enemies to Lovers sounds like a good one. Your 5⭐️ rating has convinced me to take a look!
