June Book Reviews I texted a reading buddy when I finished Beach Read last week and said “60 books this year. Time to put a fork in it.” and I mean it. I’ve averaged 10 books a month this year and while most of them are audiobooks, it still almost feels like
Elizabeth of East Hampton sounds delightful! I'm always up for an Austen retelling. Although I do still have a copy of Emma of 83rd Street that I should probably read first...
You had so many great books this month! It's disappointing that The Familiar didn't engage you the same way as the Alex Stern series. But I love that you enjoyed Daisy Haites. I agree with you, even though it's definitely not a romantic book and it's so toxic, there's just something about this series that makes it impossible to put down. I can't wait to hear your thoughts as you progress in the series! 🤎
Just finished reading Funny Story and loved Miles too - so excited to check out the EmHen book you recommended! I added a few of the other romance recs to my Libby too! Highly recommend the Seven Year Slip if you haven't read it.
I sometimes feel like I am reading too much for myself too, but then I just keep picking up another book 😂
Guilty!
I just found The Irish Goodbye on Hoopla and am excited to listen to it - thanks for the recommendation!
That's where I listened as well! I am always pleasantly surprised to see what new releases they get!
So impressive! But also I completely understand the feeling of wanting to slow down.
You had a great month! I have a feeling my next month(s) will be a bit slower.
You've made such good progress on your summer reading TBR!
You'll love Just for the Summer! I'm obsessed!
Listening now! I’m only half-way through and it’s a little slower paced than I expected from the initial rom-com premise outlined at the beginning.
I haven't read any of these yet but I am every day less inclined to pick up The familiar hahaha
Borrow or skip!
So impressed by how many books you read! Adding some to my Libby queue right now!

You should! I enjoyed both books.

It’s been sitting on the shelf too long! I bought it when it first came out and I need to make time for it.
Agreed on This Summer will be Different. Honestly too many oysters for me. 😂
LOL, I didn’t pick up on that.
Must add Elizabeth of East Hampton to my TBR, a P&P retelling, say no more!
I really enjoyed it! Flew through it in a couple of days.
