Hey Kuleigh! I just set my goal today on Goodreads. I'm also using StoryGraph because I love the statistics and breakdowns you get from what you're reading and tbr.
I read 175 books this last year, but I'm setting my goal lower because with doing my newsletter I don't have as much time to read as I have.
I love this simple goal! I think simple is always best. I love what you said about leaning into intuition when picking what you want to read next, I want to practice that more this year too ◡̈
I think I’m loving the intention to simply read consistently and reflect on what it has taught me / done in my life. Reading to reach a specific # feels a bit limiting and feeds the comparison of self to others. Read to enrich our lives and those affected by our lives seems like a worthy mantra ❤️. Thanks for the thoughts Kuleigh!
I love your last goal about rereading the books that were significant to you at various points in your life! Will you be sharing as you go? I’d love to hear how you feel rereading today vs whatever age you last read it. Also curious what inspired you to do this goal?
I have a post with a little more detail coming next week! There wasn't anything specific that I can pinpoint that inspired me to start the project. It's just been a while since I've visited these books and I want to touch on what you've noted already-- how I feel about them now vs. then!
Love the idea of your rereading challenge! My reading goal for the year is to read for at least 5 minutes a day-- because my biggest issue is just picking up my ipad (over scrolling, usually), but once I start I'm easily in a groove.

Hope you are having a good new year. 📚🐛
I'm hoping to commit to using StoryGraph this year as well. The charts are neat! Happy New Year!

I forget what it's like to just go to a library or bookstore and pick something up because of the cover. It's a good practice to get back to.

It does limit you! I hope you find some truly impactful books this year.
