May Book Reviews The beginning of May started out slow for reading. I struggled with the first half of The Pairing but finally hit a groove. By the end of the month my reading really picked up and I had some fun with it! I realize there are still a few days left in the month but I’m calling it now for reviews. It’s the last few (half) days of school and we’re already in summer mode.
What a great round-up! I have read a few Danielle L. Jensen books (can't remember the titles off the top of my head) and found them enjoyable but not particularly re-read-worthy. Have you read all the Ali Hazelwood books?
I’m hoping to read more romantasy next year. Between my rereading project and all the eARCs on my NetGalley shelf, I haven’t been leaning into my Kindle backlist as much as I want. I haven’t read all of the Ali Hazelwood books yet but I’m close. I still need to read Love, Theoretically and 2 of the novellas. They work on audio for me so I might see if my library has them! I preordered her new book!
I am so impressed that you're able to post your May roundup before Friday! My fantastical mind believes I'm going to finish 5 books between then and now.
Ha! I'm usually the same but honestly, I'm making time for it as I have it this week. I might finish one more book between now and then. If I do I'll tack it onto my June wrap up! Are you in the middle of a book now?
SUMMER MODE!! You've confirmed my choice to not continue with the Finlay and Vero story, but I added a few to my TBR from your thoughts this month. ☺️ I predict my reading to increase as camping adventures and a few vacations begin-love no-pressure downtime!
I've started a book that is similar to Finlay Donovan so I'll be sure to update you next month if it might hit the mark for that particular genre. Camping sounds like fun! What is on your immediate summer TBR?
I realise I'm a month late, but super behind on my emails.
Good round up! I'm really enjoying The Many Lives Of Mama Love. It's a memoir (something I never used to read before but somehow managed five this year so far). It's so well written even though I'm getting so angry at the author/narrator!

LMK what you think about Love, Theoretically! That was my first Ali Hazelwood and remains my favorite :)
Ooh my expectations are high, then!

Always! It’s the Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett right now.
I love your reviews! I think I might need to read The Hook Up 👀
Thank you! It’s such a quick spicy read! Worth it IMO, especially if you need a palate cleanser.
I love a spicy read 🌶️

I loved reading your thoughts on your reads this month -- especially The Pairing. I've been interested in this one and I think I'll pick it up!
I’m glad it swayed you that way. There were elements I liked and didn’t like but I preferred it to her previous two releases!
